Notes:
– Chevy’s history goes back to 1970 and the band Cupid’s Inspiration. In 1978 they use the name ‘4 Wheel Drive’ which later changed to Chevy.
– Toured with Alvin Lee and Hawkwind in 1980. The same year their song ‘Chevy’ appeared on the compilation “Metal for Muthas Vol. II” (LP, EMI 1980)
– Although they split in 1983, nearly all members formed Red On Red and for one year they toured England and also appeared on Radio and on British TV
– Chevy reunited in September 2010 with all 3 guitarists from the two line ups for a charity show at their home town. You can see some fantastic footage from that show here
– Bassist Bob Poole lived in Germany for 18 years playing and producing. He also played a lot as a solo acoustic performer. After his return to the UK and along with Baz Eardley (g) and Ted Duggan (d) they started a covers band called The Motorvators playing mostly 1970s Hard Rock
– Chevy had enough songs from the early 1980s for a second album
