– Formed in 1976 under the name Leviathan. In 1980 changed their name to Black Axe and a year later to Wolf
– Black Axe were featured on the BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock show. Four tracks first broadcasted on March 6, 1981. These were: ‘Edge Of The World’, ‘Shock Treatment’, ‘Too Close For Comfort’ and ‘Night From The Blue’
– Two more songs were recorded from a radio session: ‘Lazerblind’ and ‘Head Contact’
– The song ‘Edge Of The World’ was featured in the compilation “The Friday Rock Show” (LP, BBC Records, 1981). Also ‘Red Lights’ appeared on the 2CD versions of “NWOBHM – ’79 Revisited” compilation as a bonus track
